My life continues today because of one simple word, "Resilience". In 2015 I found Starting Strength and the teachings of Mark Rippetoe. I was hooked immediately and used the basic compound movements to get as strong as I could, not knowing at the time the impact it would have.
I found out how important being strong is in November of 2019 when I was hit by a car while on foot. I had stopped to help someone who had been in a rollover accident and while doing so I was hit by an oncoming car. The accident almost took my life, but I managed to survive. I ended up having to amputate my left leg below my knee, but otherwise was in pretty good shape. Being strong and therefore resilient, kept me from death.
The accident changed my life in many ways and gave me a new perspective on life. I decided that I wanted to spread the word on strength and help others improve their lives as well as get ready to weather future storms.
I had been coaching friends and family since 2016, but in 2021 decided to try and coach full-time. I signed on with Starting Strength Columbus in 2022 and in 2023 I earned my SSC Certification. My goal is to reach as many people as I can and make as many people as I can strong and resilient.

As a strength coach my main focus is to make you stronger! By utilizing the basic compound movements and a barbell you will get stronger with each session. We focus primarily on Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press and Shoulder Press with other lifts being added as needed.
Programming is simple:
Stress-Recover-Adapt.
By stressing the body and then allowing it to recover, we create an adaptation. Squat 100 lbs today, get some good food and some good sleep, and in two days you squat 105 lbs. It really is that simple. This simple, linear programming works every time it is implemented. Come put it to the test!
Whether you have a setup at your home or you train at a local gym, you can take full advantage of the experience and knowledge I have obtained getting people just like you to the strongest version of themselves.
It's really this simple: You take videos of your lifting and send them to me. I watch over them looking for every way to improve your performance. You'll receive detailed feedback with actionable steps to take moving forward, to increase the efficiency of your training. Based on your videos and the communication between you and I, I set up all the programming you need to build the strongest You. Monthly phone calls and unlimited email communication keep us on the same page as your life and goals change.
For $250 a month your training will be my priority! A small price to pay for a better quality of life!
This package is for the experienced lifter who has a solid foundation when it comes to the lifts, but needs expert help with their intermediate or advanced programming. All of the programming with weekly technique checks.
$150 a month for full programming and weekly video technique checks.
For those who would like to train, but are limited in what they can do, because of missing/partially missing limbs or other physical setbacks.
We will take the same exact approach as with any other client--Compound movements, progressively loaded--but depending on the limitations of the individual the price will be adjusted.
This is very specific to the client, so please email me about pricing. Once we talk and get on the same page with what you can and cannot do in the gym, we can find a price that is appropriate. **Will NEVER be more than my standard rate.
With the rise in platforms like Zoom, live coaching in real-time is possible even if not in the same location. This 90 min. session allows you and I to talk in real time while you work through the lifts. It is the closest thing to in person coaching and if you have earbuds I don't even have to yell! It's a win-win!
